Padlocks left behind by lovers on the Pont Des Arts bridge near Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. The tradition of couples leaving a lock and throwing the key into the River Seine began in 2008. The city removed all the locks and placed panels to stop the practice as the weight of nearly 1 million locks was detrimental to the bridge.
